Liechtenstein - HB0/K4SV

Some pictures of our trip to Liechtenstein after we attended the Friedrichshafen Hamfest

The Little Tarheel Mini Screwdriver antenna with 2 radials for 80, 40, 30, 20 and 17 meters, it worked the world on 160 to 6 meters. I made QSO's on 160 through 10 meters. The whip on top is a MFJ 12 foot telescoping whip with a 3/8-24 stud on it that screws directly onto the screwdriver antenna. To get to anything higher than 17 meters you have to reduce the length of the whip by collapsing it. I always used as much top whip as I could to make it most efficient.

Used a hose clamp to attach radials. Radials are just #24 hookup wire, nothing special.

I Just slotted the 1.5 inch PVC pipe and dropped the antenna in. The wires ran out the bottom next to the stick driven onto the ground.

Bill N2WB operating RTTY, notice how serious he looks! :)

Gerard F2JD operating on the patio with his FT817.

My Station and me, Dave K4SV using my trusty Icom IC706 and QRV on all Bands 160-6. After operating for so many the hours my back was killing me sitting on the bed hunched over, but DX is worth it anytime!

Using writelog, my standard Dxpedition software, to log call mode QSO's. I always use a paddle it speeds up Q rates for me. I enter the call with my left hand and send with the right.

The ski Lodge at the Top of Liechtenstein HB0

We were not able to stay at the top in the lodge so we settled for a hotel in the valley.
