Turks and Caicos Island - VP5/K4SV

Here are some pictures of my trip to VP5 in 2005. My family made plans to go for a week with friends and what could I say but lets go!

Pirate Cave

Recovered Musket Balls

Place used to tie up their boats, notice wear on rocks by ropes.

Captain Bill (our guide) points out the area used to cook the food.

Bats rest in cave

Inscriptions carved into the rocks all around the cave, some inscriptions reminded the pirate where his treasure or booty was buried. A Pirate would never make a map, some other Pirates would just slit their throat for it and go get the treasure. Maps can get lost or destroyed. That is why they did would make these inscriptions to remind them where the treasure was hidden.
